MOCCA

Tuesday, June 19, 2007
Anyone in Ny going to Mocca? Stop by the OOP table and say hi. Poster was done by Mike and Bob for this years event.

Edit

Just got back from MoCCA. I thought it rocked this year. Got a chance to meet Paul Pope and Tara Mcpherson. Hung out at the OOP table for most of the time. Lots of cool books and items this year around. I Had to go to the bank two times. Spent more than I thought I would. Got a piece from Greg Ruth.

Overall, I think I enjoyed this more than NYCC. If you are from NY, this is definitely the one to go to. Eagerly waiting for next years event.

RATATOUILLE

Saturday, June 16, 2007
I just got back from watching Pixars new animated movie, Ratatouille. Overall I think this movie was really well done and enjoyable to watch. After watching horrible films like, Spiderman 3, Fantastic four, and pirates, this definitely ended the interminable slew of bad movies out there right now. I thought the jokes all fell into place and weren't too forced. The story, was pretty solid and brought something new to the table, which contrasts many conceptual redundancies percolating in the animation industry. The textures, lighting, animation, and designs were all memorable. The ending credits was very stylish. All in all I think this was another hit for Pixar.
