CLIP FROM NO FAT

Friday, September 26, 2008
I'm surprised that someone made this promo clip from my artwork for Totoro Forest Project. I wasn't even aware of it until Jake Parker sent it to me.

I found out who did the animation and music.

animation - Jeremy McCracken
music - Zach Johnston

Thanks to both of them for doing a wonderful job.

Also, I updated my paintings section with a new bg image for a personal project.

BACK FROM SAN FRAN

Sunday, September 07, 2008
Whew, just got back from Frisco for the Totoro art show. It was the best two days spent in a while.

Some areas I went to was The Fisherman's Wharf. A great place to sketch and a very nice view of the sea and all the boats. Saw all the sea lions sun bathing and barking near the pier. I can't remember what beach we went to but the view was incredible. We did a little shopping in Union square before the auction also. Beautiful city overall. I want to come back since two days is not enough to fulfill my vacation needs.

As for the auction, every piece was nicely presented in the lobby at Pixar! I had no idea that studio was so damn cool. Anyways, I met a lot of other Totoro artists and old buddies. Gerald G from paris, Erwin, Francis, Pascal, Simone, etc.. I can't remember all the names sorry. The live auction was fun too. Dices piece went for four thousand and Robert Mackenzies for three thousand just to name a few. Lasseter was outbidding everyone so I gave up haha. My piece ended up going for sixteen hundred which was very suprising to me, because I thought everyones pieces were a lot better than mine.

To sum things up, awesome people, awesome project and great times. I don't know if there will be anything like this ever again where all the artist from around the world unite. Pictures to follow soon.
